In late-April 2019, I took a quick four day trip to visit my friend Steve Moore and the children's hospital he had built in Guatemala City.
Photos are from a birding tour of Finca Filadelfia, a very high end resort on a coffee plantation near Antigua. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it, at least for a tour. All of the tours are in the Mercedes vehicles (see photo) complete with security guard (see photo). All of the roads near the main headquarters and hotel are paved with cobblestones (see photo). The volcano is Volcán Agua which is the closest to Antigua. The last two photos are from an upscale outdoor mall in Guatemala City. I had no idea something like this existed there. Every top-line store you can imagine from the U.S. and Europe.
