Chile Trip Blog Post #2

After a long delay, I am finally getting to a second blog post from our very interesting trip to Chile in 2025. Our next stop was in the Villarrica Pucón area. Each one of those little cities is on the southwest and southeast corners of Lake Villarica. Beautiful views of the lake and the mountains to the east from both of them.

After the stay of a few days in this area, we continued to move north, spending six nights in Temuco on the way toward Santiago. Temuco did not have a lot to offer. In hindsight we cannot remember why we spent so much time here. It is located a good distance from the Pacific Coast. We did not have a car here, so we spent our time exploring the small city. We visited the central area of the city as well as some parks, churches and museums.

From Temuco we traveled by bus to Los Angeles, less than a two hour trip. Los Angeles is also located in the center of the country. We spent only two nights here. We did much the same here as what we did in Temuco; visited the central area of the city and parks, restaurants and cafe shops nearby.

This visit was followed by another hour and a half bus trip to the city of Concepción. This city is on the edge of the Pacific and offered beautiful views of it. Unfortunately, I did not keep any photos of those views.

After Concepción, another two and a half hour bus ride to Talca. This city is in the central valley and serves as the to the southern area of Chile's various wine regions. More on the wine regions (hopefully) soon.
