Casa Museo Quinta de Bolivar and Museo Botero should be high on the list of places to visit in Bogotá. Casa Museo Quinta de Bolívar, now serving as a museum, was Bolívar's home when he visited Bogotá from 1820 - 1830. Many of the actual pieces of furniture and other aspects of the grounds and houses remain intact.
Fernando Botero is one of Colombia's most famous painters and sculptors. His "oversized" characters were a trademark of his work. The museum is full of both.
