Barichara is another of the 18 pueblo patrimonios in Colombia. It is located in the Santander district in northern Colombia and is one of the more well-known tourist spots in the country. It is famous for its cobblestone streets and architecture. A must on any visit is a hike from Barichara on the Camino Real to the very small pueblo of Guane. The hike is mostly over a path paved with large stones but there are several climbs and drops. It took us nearly four hours and 30 minutes to cover the 6.5 kilometers.

Are you sure we graduated from high school at the same time, Ed? I ask because I don't think I'd make the 4.5-hour hike to the small village unless I hired one of those colorful golf carts to take me around! Keep up your adventures and keep posting those pics! I enjoy them. ~Charlotte
