Jardín - Another Colombian Pueblo Patrimonio in the Heart of the Coffee Axis

We spent a long weekend in mid-April in Jardín. The pueblo patrimonio is a beautiful pueblo located about three hours by bus south of Medellín. It is more or less in the center of the Colombia coffee axis so plenty of good coffee shops and coffee plants growing on every hillside.

The residents of Jardín, true to its name cover their streets, their shops and their homes with beautiful flowers and plants.

Homes can be ornate and colorful

While in Jardín, we stayed in Hospedaje Rural La Boira run by a friendly but quirky Colombian lady. It is an easy walk from there into the town center.

I was in Jardín during Semana Santa and Easter in 2022. Oddly enough, and with no special planning, Isabel and I were in Jardín for these holidays again in 2023. Not everyone celebrates by going to church. By the way, we met the lady whose face is on the beer bottle.

Apparently not all residents of Jardín are as happy as others.
