Grouping them together for this post. The most common swallow in the area is Blue-and-white (see photo below) which is seen virtually every day. Other swallows seen occasionally in the area include Northern Rough-winged, South-rough winged and Gray-breasted Martin. During migration, Barn and Cliff Swallow as well as Purple Martin can be seen.
The most common swift in the area is the largest swift in Costa Rica - White-collared Swift (see photo below). Other swifts regularly seen in the area include Vaux's, Chestnut-collared and Black. Roosting White-chinned and Spot-fronted have also been found within only a few kilometers of here.
