Quick Post from San Cristóbal, los Galápagos

My first blog post by cell phone and first from los Galápago, Ecuador.

After a night in Guayaquil, my friend and I flew to San Cristóbal on March 3 our first of three islands.

We hit the ground running with a three hour taxi tour to the most northern part of the island reachable by vehicle.

We made three stops: (1) a walk el Junco, a lake in the crater of an old volcano; (2) los Galapagueros to see the giant Galapagos tortoises: and (3) Punto Carola. a beautiful beach with plenty of birds and see lions.
